Casino Quality at Home
"Fantasy chips" refers to poker chips that were made for the home market by the same companies that produced chips for real casinos. All of the sets listed here were manufactured by the major chip producers — Paulson, BCC (Bud Jones Creative), and Chipco — using the same molds, materials, and processes as their casino chips.
Most of these sets are no longer available via retail. They are still actively bought and sold among collectors on sites like eBay and the Poker Chips Forum. The secondary market for quality fantasy chips is robust, and prices have generally appreciated as original stock dwindles.
What makes these special: A Paulson clay chip from a fantasy set is physically identical to a chip that sat on a casino floor. The clay composite, the inlay, the edge spots — all the same. You just can't use it to cash out at the cage.
The Sets
63 named fantasy chip sets are listed below. Each was produced for the home market by Paulson, BCC, or Chipco (or in some cases, multiple manufacturers produced the same design).
